Congratulations to our 2021-2022 Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Amy Marcontell. Mrs. Marcontell is our ESL teacher and devotes her time to helping our ELL learners succeed. She has taught for over 24 years, 16 of which have been here at Cora Spencer.

"I absolutely find it an honor being able to serve our amazing students, parents, and staff.  I’m beyond privileged to work with the best of the best! I watch greatness happen day after day, especially the past few years. I have taught at Cora Spencer since the day it opened in 2006 and honestly see myself retiring at Spencer.  To me, being the advocate and bridge between language and cultural barriers, for Spencer’s second language learners, are my greatest responsibilities and joy.  My English as a Second Language students know they are important, loved, and understood.  ALL of my students, 1st and 2nd graders, ESL, and intervention, over the past 24yrs have been and are my purpose."
